Getting Started
Get started with socials.fun in under a minute.
Prerequisites
- A Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare, or Backpack recommended)
- Some SOL for transaction fees (~0.02 SOL to create, ~0.001 SOL per trade)
Creating Your First Token
Step 1: Connect Your Wallet
Visit socials.fun (opens in a new tab) and click "Connect Wallet" in the top right. Select your wallet provider and approve the connection.
Step 2: Find a Social Media Post
Copy a link from:
- X/Twitter: Any tweet URL (e.g.,
https://x.com/user/status/123456) - YouTube: Any video URL (e.g.,
https://youtube.com/watch?v=abc123) - TikTok: Any video URL (e.g.,
https://tiktok.com/@user/video/123)
Step 3: Create the Token
- Click Create in the navigation
- Paste your link in the input field
- Click Go
- Review the AI-generated name, symbol, and description
- Upload a custom image or use the auto-selected one
- Click Create Token
- Approve the transaction in your wallet
One Link = One Token: If a token already exists for that link, you'll be redirected to its trading page instead of creating a duplicate.
Step 4: Start Trading
Once created, you can immediately:
- Buy more tokens on the bonding curve
- Sell tokens back for SOL
- Share the token page with others
Your First Trade
Buying Tokens
- Navigate to any token page
- Enter the amount of SOL you want to spend
- Review the estimated tokens you'll receive
- Click Buy and approve the transaction
Selling Tokens
- On the token page, switch to the Sell tab
- Enter the amount of tokens to sell
- Review the SOL you'll receive
- Click Sell and approve the transaction
