Frequently asked questions about socials.fun.

General

What is socials.fun?

socials.fun is a protocol that creates tradeable Solana tokens from social media posts. Paste any X/Twitter, YouTube, or TikTok link to create or trade a token representing that content.

How is this different from pump.fun?

Featuresocials.funpump.fun
Token sourceSocial media linksAny custom token
UniquenessOne token per linkUnlimited duplicates
GraduationRaydium CLMMRaydium AMM

Is this legal?

socials.fun creates tokens that reference social media content. We do not claim ownership of the underlying content. Tokens are speculative assets and users should understand the risks involved.

Token Creation

What links are supported?

  • X/Twitter: Tweets, not profiles
  • YouTube: Videos, shorts, playlists
  • TikTok: Videos

Can I create a token for any post?

Yes, as long as:

  • It's from a supported platform
  • No token exists for that exact link
  • The content is publicly accessible

What if a token already exists for my link?

You'll be redirected to the existing token's trading page. Remember: one link = one token.

Who owns the token I create?

The token mint is an SPL token on Solana with:

  • Fixed supply: 1 billion
  • No mint authority (can't create more)
  • No freeze authority The creator has no special privileges - it's just a regular token anyone can trade.

Trading

How do I buy tokens?

  1. Go to any token page
  2. Enter SOL amount
  3. Click Buy
  4. Approve transaction

Why is my transaction failing?

Common causes:

  • Insufficient SOL balance
  • Slippage too low (increase in settings)
  • Network congestion (retry)
  • Token is graduating (wait for completion)

What is slippage?

Slippage is the maximum price change you'll accept. If the price moves more than your slippage setting before execution, the transaction fails.

Can I set limit orders?

Not on the bonding curve. After graduation, you can use limit orders on Raydium.

Graduation

What triggers graduation?

Approximately 50 SOL accumulated in the bonding curve.

Can I trade during graduation?

No, trading is paused during the ~30 second graduation process.

What happens to my tokens during graduation?

Nothing - they stay in your wallet. Only the liquidity migrates.

Can graduation fail?

Rarely. If it fails, bonding curve trading resumes and graduation retries automatically.

Staking

When can I stake?

Only after the token graduates to Raydium.

What do I earn from staking?

A share of the 1% CLMM trading fees, paid in SOL.

Is there a lock-up period?

No, you can unstake anytime.

How often should I claim rewards?

Whenever gas-efficient. Small rewards might not be worth the transaction fee.

Technical

What blockchain is this on?

Solana (both Mainnet and Devnet supported).

What wallets work?

Any Solana wallet:

  • Phantom (recommended)
  • Solflare
  • Backpack
  • Ledger (via adapter)

Are the contracts audited?

The protocol is built on Anchor and follows Solana security best practices.

Troubleshooting

Token page won't load

  • Check your internet connection
  • Try refreshing
  • Clear browser cache
  • Try a different browser

WebSocket disconnected

Click "Sign in" in the header to reconnect for real-time updates.

Transaction stuck

Solana transactions either complete or fail within ~30 seconds. If stuck:

  • Wait 60 seconds
  • Refresh the page
  • Check Solana Explorer for status

Wrong network

Ensure your wallet is on the correct network:

  • Mainnet for real trading
  • Devnet for testing
⚠️

DevNet tokens have no real value. Don't send real SOL to DevNet addresses.
